Holi Cocktails - I have to add my drinks to this list, right?
Holi is just around the corner and I am sure looking for some Indianized boozy drinks is a task. Turmeric Gin and Tonic is one of my favourite drinks - it's refreshing and spicy!
I have shared an instructional video here.
I do get a lot of queries for immunity-boosting drinks. Honestly, I can never tell anyone to drink alcohol to boost immunity. But turmeric is gold! And if you don't add the gin, you have a very delicious immunity-boosting drink!
Turmeric Tonic
Turmeric is an important component of Indian cuisine. A turmeric tonic is my version of turmeric tea. The recipe is pretty simple - combining ginger and turmeric root for a vibrant yellow concoction - that's all you need to do!
Turmeric Gin and Tonic
This is a misnomer! This drink that I am making is more of a Turmeric Tonic and gin. I love how the ginger ale balances the taste of gin and finishes off this drink nicely.
I am sharing the recipe for the cocktail and the turmeric tonic. You can enjoy as you like - with or without the gin!
Don’t drink and drive. It’s not fun!
About this holi cocktail
I love this cocktail for its vibrant colour. This is a very refreshing and light cocktail as compared to other traditional holi drinks.
In my personal opinion, gin goes well with ginger. However, it's not a great choice for almond milk-based holi drinks!
