Russell Brunson | 30 Day Traffic Secrets Challenge is a sponsored post. All the thoughts and opinions are my own. Please find the detailed disclaimer at the end of the post.
I have been blogging for over a decade now. I was in school when I started. But I always knew that I will someday take it up full time! Here I am today, blogging full time and enjoying every bit of it.
But there are always some questions around blog traffic that cloud my thoughts!
- Have I targeted the right people?
- Am I reaching everyone I targeted?
- Is my RoI good enough?
When you are passionate about something, creating that product or service is a big challenge. But the bigger challenge is to find the right customer. For a world that is so digitally advanced, the internet is a vast marketplace. Your customers (or readers) are all present online – the fight is to just find them!

Russell Brunson has shared 20 secrets in his book to find your customer, create your own funnel to reach them and then build trust and your own customer base.
If you follow me on Twitter, you might have noticed how much I enjoyed my #TrafficSecrets journey!
Another theoretical course?
Absolutely not! And that is exactly what makes this book stand out. The author has organized his thoughts in a commendable manner – makes it easier for the readers to read, connect and implement.

If you have heard about Russell Brunson, the Youtuber, you would agree that he is a delightful speaker. And his book is just the same. It seems like he is telling you some relatable stories and in the process, your are learning some invaluable lessons to help you reach your goals.
What works for me?
The book came with a printable work-book. It proved to be a perfect resource to jot down the thoughts, create action plans and follow the activities mentioned in the book effectively.

Russell Brunson made sure that he has fed the most important aspect in every possible way.
What did not work for me?
I don’t have anything strongly against this wonderful book! At times, it gets a little monotonous. But I realized that it is because those particular parts focussed on specifically physical products or services to achieve some specific goals and were not for me, that is, for a creative content creator.
I am still reading the book. And I am amused by the simple information that was always available to me and I never utilized them to reach out to as many readers as I can!
Results?
The book doesn’t claim instant results and that is how it should be. You learn, set up your goals, do your research, apply everything that you learned and then measure your efforts.
However, I did a little experiment. I haven’t applied all the secrets yet. But I applied two major things
- Who is my dream reader (Dream 100)
- Identifying where I can find them

As you know that I post about easy to make cocktails in my Midweek Happy Hour Series. I posted a blogpost for the series in the first week of February (before I took the challenge) and socially amplified it specifically, like I do with all other posts. I did not advertise it on Facbook or Instagram. This is the page view report during that week :

Then I took the challenge, and then posted another blogpost in the first week of June in the same series. This time I boosted my post to the forums where I thought my dream customers might be positioned. And here is the report for that week:

I tried keeping other parameters same for both the post like posting day and time. And these are really motivating results! Now, this is pretty interesting, isn’t it? I am not claiming that it works. But my experiment definitely helped me understand a lot of things.
Key learnings, till now
- Visualizing your dream customer is important
- Identifying if your product/service (in my case, content) is catering to pain or pleasure of the customer
- Creating hooks to fish for the customers is important! By that I mean – offering some offers or something valuable that the customer will enjoy and will keep coming back for
- Consistency is the key. Your customers’ behaviour is dynamic – keep following their interest curve

Definitely visible change noticeable here between the two statistics you displayed. And I like the theme of the book, something that would be worth considering for my own 16 year old blog.
