2019: The Year It Was!

I haven’t written a post like this in years. Literally, in YEARS!

Maybe I was too busy, or perhaps I was just not motivated enough to start another year. At the same time, I write about the one which has already gone by, whatever the reason was, I decided nothing to stop me this time.

I was MIA because I was not in a mental space to sit down and write. Oh yes, I had all the time in the world. BUT there is always an excuse. Kissing all my reasons a goodbye this year, hopefully!

My bae says I am not able to process how my 2019 went by because it was way too eventful for me and I don’t think I have any defence against that. Here is a summary of my year!

Well, that is it!

As for 2020, I had a list of resolutions with me. But then, let’s blame it on adulting, but it boiled down everything to just one decision.

We really don’t need a new year to start kicking off our goals. It is okay not to be able to start from 1st or 10th or 20th of January. It is essential to start. START. Start with all the dedication and motivation should follow.

Also, if you are waiting for the sign for the universe, consider this as the one:

It's the 7th of January and it may seem strange to start something new today, right?⠀ ⠀ WRONG!⠀ ⠀ You can start something new, a good habit, a new habit any day of the week or month!⠀ ⠀ Do you know when I started working out regularly? 14th of October, 2019⠀ ⠀ The day I stopped having refined white sugar? February 11th, 2019⠀ ⠀ In fact, the reason I remember those dates so clearly is not because of anything else- it was the day that I made a significant, intentional decision to do both those things.⠀ ⠀ So don't worry about the fact that it's already the 7th of January. It's just a date on the calendar.⠀ ⠀ Instead, think of today as the day you decide to make that BIG change you've been waiting to do:⠀ ⠀ Write a new blog post⠀ ⠀ Start a workout routine⠀ ⠀ Put on those walking shoes⠀ ⠀ Clean out that closet⠀ ⠀ Launch your blog⠀ ⠀ There's a lovely quote by John Denver that I remember often: 'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'.⠀ ⠀ Believe this with all your heart and just make it happen.
